Cuesta gallery accepting student art

Any student with $5 to spare can have their art shown at the Cuesta art Gallery–and even get a shot at winning a$300 prize.

Cuesta College has been hosting this student art exhibition annually for over 40 years.

Each submission is $5 with a limit of three entries per student. Submissions will be accepted at the Miossi Art Gallery in room 7170 beginning April 1 and will close April 3.

“Everything has to be ready to hang,” said Cuesta Art Instructor David Prochaska. Questions or concerns on how to hang your art can be directed to Professor Prochaska.

The student art exhibition will be open to the public between April 17 and May 22, with awards being announced at 6 p.m. on April 17.

Cal Poly’s art instructor Sara Frantz of Austin Texas will be the juror of this year’s exhibition for her unique viewpoint which Cuesta has never seen before
