Saint Fratty’s day is coming and we all know what that means; falling roofs, collapsed garages and gratuitous amounts of alcohol.
We’ve all seen the flyers..to avoid party regret here are a couple safety tips to help make your holiday a better one.
Don’t drink and drive. Instead walk, call an uber or have a designated driver. On average two in three people will be involved in a drunk driving crash in their lifetime, according to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Don’t exceed roof capacity. On March fifth of last year, while celebrating St. Fratty’s Day, nine students were injured in the collapse of a roof because St. Fatty’s kingdom could not withstand that much weight. This incident left one person with an impaled leg. That is sure to sober you up real fast.
Just because everyone else is doing it doesn’t mean you have to as well. Peer Pressure
Nothing ruins a party quite like having the ground cave IN underneath your feet. As gnarly as it may seem no one wants their leg impaled.
Know your limits, if you feel yourself starting to fade slow down on the drinking or switch to a drink with less potency. So let’s all be considerate by following local ordinances and neighborhood rules.
Don’t forget to hydrate. Water is the key to success so in the words of the most interesting man on earth, “Stay thirsty my friends.”
